In Greene County district court a judgment was entered May 2 against Jose Trinidad Hernandez, 24, of Grand Junction on one count of unlawful use of prescription medication. He was fined $500 with a $300 surcharge. He must also pay $60 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $127.68 court costs. Reyaldo Jose Hernandez, 26, of Perry was sentenced to two years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. The prison sentence was suspended and he was placed on unsupervised probation for two years. He was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge. He must also pay $90 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. (Sentencing: Kester)
A disposition was entered in magistrate court in a case initiated in district court against Jeremy Scheffers, 19, of Lake City. A judgment for a $300 fine with a $105 surcharge was entered against him on a charge of driving while license suspended, amended from driving while license revoked. He must pay $60 court costs. Persons pleaded not guilty in district court as follows: Frederick James Lonsdale, 40 of Perry, tampering with a witness, and in a separate case, burglary-third degree and operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent. A trial date was set for July 22 in both cases.
Cases were initiated in Greene County district court during the week that ended May 2 as follows: Richard Charles Hiram Lampe III, 41, of Jefferson, theft of services- third degree; Tamra Lynn Lampe, 41, of Clinton, theft of services- third degree aiding and abetting; Donald Lawrence Huls Jr, 30 of Kansas City, MO, operating while intoxicated (OWI)-second offense; Nathan William Merrill, 32, of Jefferson, OWI-third offense and driving while license revoked; Anthony Charles Kennedy, 32, of Jefferson, assault on a peace officer; and Richard Dean Tuhn Jr, 35, of Grand Junction, domestic abuse assault.
